Hamilton Mtn Hike and picnic

We will meet at 9 am to hike the most beautiful mountain in the gorge. There will be two meeting places; one on the Portland side and one in Vancouver to carpool. Bring a picnic lunch and layers of clothing. Depending on the group size and interests, we may split into groups. One group can do the short hike and another the longer one.
I will provide more details next week. Plan on bringing a picnic lunch for yourself. This is my favorite hike, and I'm sure it will become one of yours as well.

People who want to meet on the Oregon side will meet Glenn who is helping with those coming from Portland. Meeting info:
I-84 exit #18 "Lewis and Clark State Park" just east of Troutdale. There is a gravel parking lot between the off ramp and freeway. I will be there about 8:45am and we can leave at 9:15am. We can travel down I-84 to The bridge of the gods and then back west to Beacon Rock and the trail head which is across the street from Beacon Rock. Glenn drives a Blue 1985 Toyota Pickup. It really holds only two people, so he would like to ride with someone else if possible. Cell number: [masked] (will only be on that day).

People on the Washington side can meet me (Shannon) at 9am in the Shari's parking lot. It is on the corner of 164th St. and McGillvary Blvd. in East Vancouver, close to I-205 and SR 14. I am in a red Toyota Celica. We will leave at 9:10 am.
Both groups will meet in the parking lot across from Beacon Rock around 10am, depending on traffic. Once both groups have arrived, we'll head up the mountain. Remember to layer clothes, and bring plenty of food and water. I look forward to seeing you Sunday!
