The Hood River Harvest Fest is a lot of fun. Google it for more info. You can sample all varieties of apples, pears, etc. The produce is of excellent quality and very inexpensive. Most apple and pear varieties were 25c per pound last year. The art is nice and home decor, crafts, etc are unique and affordable. They sell fair food, have wine tastings, live entertainment, etc. We'll walk around, have lunch, then can decide if we want to shop the downtown area antique/other stores.

    I'm really looking forward to this event, but due to a recent car accident I can't drive. Is there anyone who I can catch a ride with? I'm willing to pitch in for gas. :)

    • “ Although there were only 2 of us, we managed to have a nice time. The Harvest Fest in Hood River was small but there were some beautiful crafts. We did part of the fruit loop tour and got some great produce and baked goods. Too bad more people didn't choose to enjoy the event. ”
