Hi:
i am posting a Sunday paddle at cold spring n.y. we will be entering constitution marsh (a Audubon preserve).
high tide is at 11:20 so we will launch at foundry point at 10am.
if anyone wants to rent a kayak , contact hudson valley outfitters

http://www.hudsonvall....
tell them you are with meetup
remember get there early---it takes time to fill out the rental forms, and if you cancel , let them know.it reflects badly upon us if you do not[:-the put-in is at the train station so if you don't drive but can get to a train you are all set.
we will be on the Hudson for only about 500 yards , after that it is smooth paddling in the marsh,
to beginners remember NO COTTON ,bring a change of clothes your feet will get wet , bring dry shoes for after. food water sun shade insect repellent
.
this is not an organized event---its just kayakers looking for company
you can reply on the message board or back channel me

I may be good for this will let you know Sat. Do you still have my cell, if yours hasn't changed I have yours, the only thing that may hold me back is preparing for the camp out next weekend, so I'll try and get everything done Sat. but there is a town wide yard sale so uh oh!

preparations for this memorial day weekend , our first expedition of the year , are becoming a major consideration for several members of our group.
we have had so far this year---not bad weather more like unreliable weather so we best keep a watch for the forecast

i don't do cold and wet. just remember if you miss this , there will be others

George, Not sure if you received the e-mail I sent to you but I will NOT be going to the foundry today, too much to do to get ready for next weekend before work tomorrow. Definitely next time. Thanks, Ruth
